Week 40 – A little more positive...

The River

This week has also been very difficult at the river. I was at the river Thursday evening together with Kasper and Morten. We saw some very big fish jumping and turning. But at the moment it seems like the fish has something else on their mind.

Kasper got a nice fish around 50 cm on the Rapala again. Another guy got a nice Salmon on 4 kg, fresh from the sea with sea lice. The salmon had very nice colors. Sorry, I forgot my camera, so no pictures. He also got a very colored seatrout on 72 cm, this one was put safely back in the river.

Otherwise only a few fish has been landed this week. There are only 3 weeks left of this season in the river, but I hope we will have some nice fishing to the end.

The coast

Still only smaller fish have been reported. But this week a lot of bigger fish have been spotted along the coast.

Me and my friend Thomas went to Houens Odde on Saturday to try out the fishing. Within 15 minutes I got a small seatrout on the fly and half an hour later Thomas also got a small seatrout. For the next 3 hours we only had a few strikes. The water was about 80 cm over the normal water level.

We also talked to other fishermen in the area, but it was the same story they told; only smaller fish. Lets hope the bigger fish will arrive soon.
