By Jesper Havshoi – Fish and Outdoor - Fredericia Week 34 has been quit bad here. A lot of heavy rain most of the week. I was fishing in Vejle å Tuesday evening. The water in the river was very high and dirty too. Not the best conditions for fishing. I only saw one fish rising to the fly. But even in difficult conditions fish are caught… Monday one lucky fisherman caught the biggest seatrout of this season so far… 91 cm with 10,2 kilo on the scale... It’s a huge one! I also went to Vejle å on Saturday evening to see if the water level had gone down and cleared up, but no. So still not the best conditions. I spent a lot of time this week experimenting with some new tube fly patterns. I will publish pictures and patterns as soon as I have been testing the new patterns (I promise you have never seen anything alike!). For the next days the weather forecast says no rain, so the water will for sure go down. So week 35 will for sure bring some better fishing. Coast The coastline fishing has also been slow this week because of the weather. Only a few hardcore fishermen went out there. They only got a few fish. A lot of the seatrout in Vejle and Kolding Fjord are now heading for the rivers, so they can be really difficult to catch. The weather gets better next week so for sure more fishermen will be at the coast. Tight lines for everybody. Jesper - info@fish-outdoor.dk - terug -
