By Jesper Havshoi – Fish and Outdoor - Fredericia This week has been a very good week for me. I have been fishing a lot and only in Vejle å. It is top season in Vejle å right now. The weather has been changing a lot this week. It started with a lot of rain and wind and then at the end of the week the weather was nice and no wind at all. Wednesday was very rainy and windy and also with a little thunder and lightning. We went with three men to the Vejle å to hunt the seatrout. In the beginning of the evening Thomas, my friend, got a small seatrout and had one more rise to the fly. When it was completely dark Kasper saw three fish turning in 5 minutes. I had just changed to a 2,5 inch fly and fished it right to the surface when a big seatrout took the fly... right after it landed on the water. After a nice intense fight Kasper helped me landing the fish. A very nice seatrout of 70 cm with a weight of 4,2 kilo.
A very nice seatrout of 70 cm with a weight of 4,2 kilo. Thursday and Friday we also saw a lot of fish in the Vejle å. I lost one around 2 kilo on Friday night. Sunday evening I was at Vejle å again and within 3 hours of fishing I saw 4 fish, had 2 rise to the fly, had 2 strikes and got a nice seatrout on 52 cm. So at the moment there is lot of activity in Vejle å. Coast The fishing on the coast has also been good this week. A lot of action in Vejle fjord with fish up to 4,1 kilo. It also looks like Kolding fjord is starting to get better again. Quite a lot of fish up to 50 cm is reported and some very big fish have been spotted. Lillebealt did not produce any good this week. Not to many seatrout but there's still needlefish and mackerel that has been caught. Tight lines for everybody along the bank! Jesper - info@fish-outdoor.dk - terug -
