Week 18Week 18 – Finally the weather changes.

By Jesper Havshøi – Fish and Outdoor - Fredericia

This week was also quit tough here in this area. We had sunny weather with eastern wind for most of the week again.

I have been fishing a couple of evenings this week. Monday I was fishing in the area around Gals klint together with Thomas and Dennis. But we only got a few small cods. Friday I tried the area around the Lillebealt bridge. I saw a few nice fish jumping but didn’t get anything else but small cods.

Sunday the weather finally changed. We got rain and the wind turned to the west. I fished for a few hours in the evening at Trelde. I had some garfish striking and also a couple of seatrout. So I hope that the weather will stay like this for the week to come. This will hopefully get the fish into some action again.

I heard of a seatrout on 65 cm caught in Lillebaelt during the week, so it is possible to get a nice fish.

In the weekend there was a big competition in Vejle fjord. Around 500 fishermen were trying to get a seatrout, but only 33 fish were caught. That just shows that at the moment it is not easy to get the fish to bite.

But with the weather change I am sure this will change and more fish will be caught in the weeks to come.

Tight Lines!
