Denmark report - March 2011

Hello Everybody! Finally it looks like the spring has arrived to Denmark. In the weekend we had up to 7 degrees. The water temperature is still very low, just around 1 degree. Also all the ice in the fjords is going away now.

So finally we can go fish again. Quite a lot of people were fishing this weekend, but we didn’t hear about any getting some fish. But some more warm days, it won’t be long before the reports will start coming in again.

I was fishing in the area around Kolding fjord, but no strikes for me as well. We just need to get the water temperatures up to 4-5 degrees, then the fish will start to be more active. But just to get out to the fishing spots again was great.

I was testing my new fly rod (A. Jensen Seatrout specialist 8” #6). Nice rod and can’t wait to fight fish on this rod. Now we just have to fish as much as possible for the months to come, and I am sure we will have a very nice season on the coastline this season.

I will come with a new report as soon as the fish starts to be more active.
