Denmark - July review.

The big holiday season is coming to an end. A lot of people haves been fishing Norway and Sweden. The results have been up and down.

First seatrout of the season

First one of the season, finally result!

The fishing here in my area has been very nice. Vejle fjord has been fishing extremely well, lots of fish were caught and lots of fish have been seen jumping and turning in the surface. Fish on 7,5 and 9 kilo are the biggest I have heard of this summer, both caught at Trelde næs at night time. But everybody is talking about lots of fish, especial during the night hours. So this summer is one of the best in many years in Vejle fjord.

Lillebaelt has also been fishing nice this summer. Quit a lot of nice silver and fat fish has been caught. But not the same numbers as in Vejle fjord.

The area around Kolding Fjord has also been fishing quit good. Fish up to 7 kilo have been caught but also good numbers of fish between 2 and 4 kilo were reported.

All in all this summer has been very good in this area. I think it is because of the weather, we had not too many days with more than 25 degrees. Not too nice summer weather, but nice weather for the fishermen.

Vejle Å has been up and down. I really had too struggle for a long time before I could land the first seatrout of the season. But some heavy rain and cold summer weather got the fishing started. Until now I got 3 seatrout the biggest on 2,9 kilo.

And now we see at lot of fish when we go to Vejle å. My Friend Kasper got a nice fish on 73 cm and 5,2 kilo. They are still hard to get but it is also nice just to see the fish going up to the fly without taking it. It can really get the adrenalin to pump.
