2006 Traun - Duitsland

Image

One after another. Pick your fattest please...

Image

And every night the same view right in front of you, an empty glass of beer...

Image

Miserable food at the hotel. I tried something different... No succes again!

Image

But the fishing was pretty much ok! William took this fat Rainbow out of a pool from the upper part of the Weissen Traun. He took a #16 Mayfly, would you believe that? This pig weighed around 3.5 kgs easily!

Image

I didn't really found out what to fish with, so I tried another caddis and it succeeded again!

Image

This is even better than so many other things in life! A massive rainbow back glittering in the sun, released in good shape! Thanks dude.

Image

A nice Brownie was quite easy too seduce with an ant. Dipping twice was enough to trigger this boy twice in 2 days!

Image

Many Rainbows took the fly pretty easily and that gave a lot of pleasure, especially cause they had the common use of taking at least your whole flyline out all the time...

Image

Great stretch for big Grayling! Nearly to the end (downstream) of the Weissen Traun.

Image

The part at the bridge was also great fun. Tease fish all the time and unable to land. Just hang your line loose and fish will come off, I at least had the fun of the run!

Image

Nice colored water easy to see fish from miles away.

Image

The place where the Weissen and the Red Traun come together. Great to see how 2 completely 2 different rivers merge without problems...

Image

Yo Pig, a massive Rainbow that William took at the waterfalls in the upper part. Grandpa eating mayflies in the evening. Thank you grandpa!
